# Move Contacts to Another List

Send contacts to a different list without losing anything or paying again.

Moving is free. The contacts keep every column and their whole enrichment history, so nothing is paid for twice.

Use it when contacts belong somewhere else rather than nowhere — splitting a big list by region, pulling your best-fit rows into a campaign list, or tidying a test list into the real one. Removing them and re-sourcing costs credits for data you already have.

## Move contacts from the table

1. Open the list on the **Lists** page.
2. Tick the contacts you want to move. The tick box appears when you hover over a row, and the box in the header selects the whole page.
3. To take everything that matches what you are looking at, use **Select all N matching** in the bar at the bottom. It follows your current view, search and filters — so filter first, then select.
4. Click **Move to another list**.
5. Pick the destination list, or type a new name to create one.
6. Read the count in the dialog and click to confirm.

The rows leave this list and appear in the destination.

## Read the count in the dialog, not your tick boxes

The dialog shows how many contacts will actually move, which is not always the number you ticked. Contacts are matched on their details, so a row that can only be identified by a name takes every contact of that name with it. The count is checked against your data before anything moves. If it is higher than you expected, cancel.

## What the contacts keep

Everything. Every column, every email, every phone number, and the full history in the **Log** column — because the contact is re-pointed at the new list rather than copied and deleted.

One line is added to each contact's log recording where it came from:

```
Move - Parvenu - Moved from Roofing Owners in California to Q4 Outreach ✅ - 09-22-26 - 0 Credits - Table
```

## If the contact is already in the destination

The two are merged into one contact rather than added twice.

* Anything blank on the contact already there is filled in from the one you moved.
* Anything already filled in stays as it is.
* Both logs are kept, so you can see the full history of both.

## Things worth knowing

* **There is no undo.** The count in the dialog is your check. Moving them back means moving them back by hand.
* **The source list stays**, even if you move everything out of it. Delete it yourself if you no longer want it.
* **Your selection clears** when you change list, view, search, filters or ICP. It survives paging and sorting.
* **It is free**, every time, however many contacts you move.

## Doing it outside the table

The same move is available to your API, to Claude and ChatGPT through the Parvenu connector, and as a **Move to a list** step in Flows. All four do exactly the same thing and all four are free.
