Company News
Find each company's recent news
Company News searches the web for what a company has been doing lately (funding, launches, acquisitions, leadership changes, notable press) and writes a short summary into the Company News column.
Unlike Research with AI, you do not write a prompt. Company News asks every company the same fixed question, so the answers stay comparable down the whole list. If you want to ask something in your own words, use Research with AI instead.
How to set up Company News
Build your list using any one of our sources.
Navigate to your Lists page and open the list you want.
Click Add Enrichment.
Select Company News. There is nothing to configure: no prompt, no field to pick.
Wait for the results to populate in the Company News column.

What it needs
Each row needs a company website or domain.
A full URL is fine. https://www.stripe.com/pricing and stripe.com are treated the same.
The website is what identifies the company. Company names are reused across countries and industries, so a row with no website is skipped rather than guessed at. That avoids filling a cell with news about a different business that happens to share the name.
Which rows get enriched
Company News runs on exactly what you are looking at:
The view you are in sets the starting group: All Contacts, Verified, an ICP view, or one of your Saved Views.
Any filters and search you have applied narrow it further.
So if your list has 200 rows but your filter shows 40, only those 40 are enriched. The rows you filtered out are left untouched.
What you are charged
1 credit for each company that comes back with news. The rate is the same however you run it: one company or a list of a thousand.
Once per company on a list. Contacts at the same company (the same website domain) share one answer. The company is looked up and charged once. The other contacts at that company get the same news for 0 credits, and their log says "(same company)". This works the same in the table, in the API and in Flows.
Two cases are free:
No recent news. Plenty of companies have a quiet year. The cell is left empty and the row costs nothing.
No company website on the row. Nothing to search on, so the row is skipped and costs nothing.
This means a run often costs less than the estimate you see when it starts, which assumes every row finds something.
Why a cell might be empty
An empty cell means no qualifying story was found, not that something went wrong. Company News only counts dated, substantive events from the last 12 months: funding, launches, partnerships, acquisitions, expansion, awards, leadership hires.
It deliberately does not count website updates, routine blog posts, directory or job-board listings, or anything it cannot put a date on. Small companies quite often have nothing that qualifies, and an empty cell is the honest answer.
Use cases
Better timing. Reach out the week after a funding round or a product launch, not months later.
A real first line. Open with something the company actually did, instead of a generic compliment.
Prioritizing accounts. Companies in the news are usually the ones spending, hiring, and moving.
