Tags let you trigger automations in the rules engine by grouping lists together

Add a Tag to a List

1. Navigate to the Lists page

2. Click in the Tags cell of the List you wish to tag.

   

   Tags
3. Either create a new tag or select an existing tag from the dropdown.

Sales Tag

Update a Tag

1. Navigate to the Lists page
2. Click in the Tags cell of the List you wish to tag.

3. Select the "Update Tags" tab.

4. Update your tag

Remove a Tag

1. Navigate to the Lists page
2. Click in the Tags cell of the List you wish to tag.

3. Select the "Remove Tags" tab.

4. Remove the tags you no longer wish to associate with the list.

Use Tags to Trigger Automations in the Rules Engine

You can use tags to trigger automations in the Rules Engine. For example, you might have a sales sequence in your email campaign tool. You can tag multiple lists as "Sales" and use this to trigger an automation that sends to a campaign specific to sales people. You can use a "Marketing" tag and do the same, but send all of these contacts to a campaign specific to marketing people.

In the above example, all future lists that are tagged "Sales" will route contacts automatically to the sales email campaign and all future lists that are tagged "Marketing" will route contacts automatically to the marketing email campaign.
